I underwent a lap band procedure 2 and a half years ago. I lost only 7 kg and regained the weight back. Now I have knee problems and back problems and I can’t climb stairs or walk for a while or stand for long periods of time.
It affects my job so badly that I can’t move from the bed in morning every day. It puts me under such severe stress that I eat a high fat and sugar diet and causes persistent vomiting.
I adjusted the band 3 times and couldn’t eat any protein like meat or fish or poultry. I transferred myself to soft eating but it was high caloric, then after 2 years of suffering I ended that by deflating the band.
Since then I have heartburn and difficulty swallowing and right-sided pain.
I am 28 year old female working as pulmonary and critical care physician. I am 165 cm tall (5′ 5′) and weigh 107 kg (235 lbs).
I really need help. I am thinking about gastric bypass or mini gastric bypass or duodenal switch. I can’t going through another failed procedure… I need a long-term solution. Thank you.
