I had a gastric bypass 2 years ago and have the most horrible smelling gas most of the time.
I have heard there are some kind of pills to control or reduce the foul smell.
I would never hesitate to suggest this surgery to anyone. I am no longer obese. I no longer am diabetic. Every thing about my life is so much better and I believe I have added 10 years to my life. I was 61 years old when I had surgery.

The answer to stinky gas is bismuth subgallate, under the trade name "Devrom". The phone for the company is The Parthenon Company, 800-453-8898 or just do a computer search for "Devrom". I have used this for several weeks now and it REALLY WORKS ! It was invented for ostomy patients. Thank heavens for Devrom. Now I don't have to be embarrassed daily. Good luck to all and enjoy your new non smelly future.
Devrom is the best!

I went through a period of having very smelly gas, too, and Devrom really is like a miracle cure. The only thing it does is remove the odor of the gas, so it isn't a cure for painful gas, bloating, etc., but it is so effective, I can't believe it isn't more popular.
