Highlights

Grace Chao, MD is currently a surgical resident at Yale New Haven Hospital where she has been working since June of 2017.

Ms. Chao received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in anthropology and biochemistry. At Washington University Ms. Chao was active in campus organizations like the Minority Association of Premedical Students, Operation Understanding, which she Co-founded, and Connect 4, which she was the president of in 2010.

After graduating from Washington University in 2013, Ms. Chao was a White House intern in the summer of 2013 for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She then began medical school at Harvard in the fall of 2013.

While at Harvard she was the Co-President of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association’s Harvard Chapter, a curriculum designer for Health Equity in the Curriculum, and a founding member of Harvard Students Asian Pacific Coalition. Finally, she was also the leader of the Christian Medical & Dental Association’s Harvard Medical School Chapter.
