Why would I gain weight only 4 months after gastric bypass?

by Bridget
(Ohio)

I am 4 and a half months out post-op from gastric bypass surgery. I had really speedy weight loss at first (90 pounds in 3 and a half months).

Now, all of a sudden, I have gained 7 pounds in a week and it will not come off... any suggestions?

Hi. First of all, congrats on such a huge weight loss! I can't imagine anybody losing so much in such a short time. I guess my advice would be 1) revel in the fact that you've lost so much so quickly, and 2) assess whether anything has changed in what you're doing.
