YOUR Weight Loss Surgery Experiences Will Improve, if Not Save, Lives

Bariatric Surgery Source has hundreds of free pages covering most angles of weight loss surgery and obesity.

But despite our best efforts to create an all-encompassing guide, some extremely important information is missing…

YOUR ADVICE, THOUGHTS & EXPERIENCES

Whether you are just beginning to consider weight loss surgery or are well past the 10-year post-surgery mark, other patients need to know what you know.

At a minimum, your contribution will help others understand they are not alone in their thoughts.

At a maximum, your advice could save lives by helping others avoid pitfalls and make the right decisions.

And whether or not you include your name or a picture is up to you.

You can contribute in one of two ways:

  1. Document your full bariatric surgery journey on your own personal web page
  2. Document just a piece your journey (by choosing a category)

To document your full journey, click here. You can start by sharing details about yourself, your decision to have surgery and what stage you are at now. You can then come back to your personal page at any time to make additoinal posts.

To document a part of your journey by category, click one of the following, then choose the subcategory that best fits your experiences, thoughts or advice. The link (subcategory) you click will either take you directly to a custom form or to an “accordion” box that looks like this:

When you expand accordion boxes, the form for you to share your experiences will be located inside (there's not one here...we just wanted to show you an example of how the accordion boxes work).

Again, some of the subcategory links below will take you to an accordion box like this one. When you get there, just click the box to expand!

Now click the accordion box again (the blue box above) to collapse and choose the topic you want to write about!

Where you see the accordion box, simply click to expand it then complete and submit the custom form.

Document your bariatric surgery progress...

...for other visitors AND for you!

Whether you include your name and/or pictures is completely up to you.

In addition to helping other visitors with your experiences, in the future it might be neat for you to have a place to come back and review your progress as the months and years pass.

Your updates could be as simple as posting a new comment every month to log your weight along with a tip or two you learned that month. Or they could be as detailed as you'd like.

Enter the title of your story (i.e. "Merideth's Lap Band Surgery Journey" or something more creative if you wish!)
