The Emotional First + Aid Kit: A Practical Guide to Life After Bariatric Surgery

The Emotional First Aid Kit: A Practical Guide to Life After Bariatric Surgery
is one of my all-time favorite books. I recommend this book to both pre and post op patients. This covers many of the emotional aspects of life before and after weight loss surgery.

It starts from the emotional issues we face making the decision to have surgery to the roller coaster of emotions we have all along our journey. I am three years + post op and I still refer to this book.

This is an excellent read that speaks on my level and can be eye opening. Many of us feel that surgery will fix everything in our lives when the truth is the surgeon's operate on our stomachs, not our heads!

I encourage you to read it and continue to refer back to it!
