"Bloodless" weight loss surgery

by Rhonda
(Canada)

Bloodless surgery is a very important concern of mine. I know that much advancement in bloodless surgery has taken place in Canada and I would like to know:

1) If the doctor or doctors handling this surgery are experienced in bloodless surgery and

2)If they willing to work with patients to achieve the goal of getting this laproscopic surgery using other non-blood volume expanders instead.

I am 44 years old and have been overweight for most of my adult life. Over the years I have tried many diets and succeeded in loosing some of the weight, however, eventually it would come back and more would come back with it. Currently I am weighing in just under 300 lbs an I am only 5'1" tall.

The surgery I am considering is the lap band rather than the bypass surgery.

Thank you,

Rhonda
